Wedding Invitation - Wedding - Nicole and Scott

Our wedding invitation I obsessively designed! And I love all of it! I looked at every website, catalog, and bridal show, but I just wasn't finding exactly what I was looking for. So I took all the bits and pieces of lots of invitations that I did like and designed this one. Our coat of arms logo that I designed was sure to be front and center for the invitation. The booklet was made with textured card stock purple paper layered with black and silver swirl paper, then shimmery card stock purple paper, topped with our logo. All tied together with black ribbon.
To be traditional, I put the protective paper before the invitation. It was attached, so it wouldn't fall out. I used a translucent paper that matched the black and silver swirl design from the cover of the invitation.

Next came the invitation. This was a cross between traditional designs and wording with a bit of a modern twist with font and design of our names.

I love the invitations with the pocket that holds all the important papers for guests. So I took that design and worked it into the booklet design. Behind the invitation piece of paper I layered the reception, hotel, and direction pages. All of the inside pages are with with purple paper.
The hotel piece is becoming a main stay with wedding invitations. So I wanted to be sure that it was part of the invitations. Not just the cards that the hotel printed for me. It was great that they did this for me, but they did not go with the design of the invitation nor the theme of our wedding.
The directions page. Another main stay now in wedding invitations. No longer is there a need to just print off mapquest directions. They can be tailored to the design and theme of the wedding, just like I did here.

Reply Card - Wedding - Nicole and Scott

This is the reply card that I designed for our wedding. I continued our coat of arms logo on it that I designed. We also did not want just the typical responses for our guests. So I found this unique way for our guests to reply. They are all based on "coming with bells on!" Then we continued the bell theme, too, thru our ceremony and reception.

On the reply card I also personalized them with our guests names. We didn't want all the confusion of who is invited and who's not, are kids invited, etc. So each reply card I personalized them with exactly who was invited and then down again at the bottom with each person's own spot to check off their food choice.

Program for Wedding Ceremony - Wedding - Nicole and Scott

The program for our wedding that I designed. Here again I continued with our logo as the main design for the cover. We loved this design. I secured the program together with black ribbon. The cover of the program was card stock white paper with purple paper on the inside.
Our heritage's both are from Irish decent so I added the Irish Marriage Blessing the beginning of our program.
Next is the wedding party page listing everyone from the parents to the singers. I used the griffin and part of the swirls from our coat of arms logo to continue the theme thru the program. (I have no idea why my camera made this page a different purple. But all the pages inside are the same shade of lilac.)
After that page is our our wedding ceremony.
The next page in the program was dedicated to those who have passed away and our thanks to our parents and our friends and family. I continued the griffin theme similar to our coat of arms logo.

The last page was directions to the hotel and reception. I know I have forgotten the invitation to weddings that had all the directions in it, so I thought it would be helpful to our guests that they have that information, just in case. Also, since there was a few hours between the ceremony and reception, I wanted to be sure our guests knew they could go to the hotel lounge.

Favor - Wedding - Nicole and Scott

Here is the favor card I designed for our guests. I kept the theme going with our coat of arms that I designed. This was our logo of our wedding. We looked at every option available to bride and grooms for favors to give their guests as a thank you for attending the wedding. None of them really were what we were looking for. When I was browsing for ideas I came across the idea of donating to charity of the bride and grooms choice and leaving cards for the guests telling them about a cause that is near and dear to their hearts. There were, unfortunately, several family members and friends bewteen each of us that had their lives affected by cancer. We decided the donate our favor money to the American Cancer Society. I thought it was a great gesture, and I never imaged the great reaction we got from our guests for this. It was so widely appreciated and touched so many people, it was just awesome. I'm so glad we decided to go this way.

Personalized Menus/Name Cards - Wedding - Nicole and Scott

Personalized menus for every guest! We decided to give our guests choices for their meal at our wedding. The problem then arose that we weren't sure how to make sure everyone gets the right food. I designed personal menus for every guest color-coded with their meal choice; purple=prime rib, white=chicken, and green=vegetarian.
The menus were then folded so that they would stand at each place setting. They were all labeled with the guests names. We had the hall place them around the tables for us to ensure that the guests wouldn't accidentally place them in a pocket, purse, or forget them during cocktail hour. This ensured that dinner was served smoothly, on-time and without issues.

Save the Date - Wedding - Nicole and Scott

Nikki T Designs all started pretty much because when I was looking at the different options out there for Save-the-Dates, wedding invitations, and various other paper items for my wedding I was not impressed with my options. I wanted something unique and different and yet expressed me. I just couldn't find anything out there that was the exact look I was going for. I had designed a multitude of invitations for various other festivities, but now it was time to tackle wedding stuff.

This is my Save-the-Date from my wedding. I loved it! And so did our guests. It told them a little about us and showed off our colors. I'm not a big fan of pictures of me, so I wanted something that was definitely us, but without a picture of us. The stick people, they are SO us. :o)

Save the Date - Wedding - Nicole and Steve

A Save-the-Date for a wedding. These can be very helpful in telling your very important guests to make sure they can make your big day! Nicole and Steve's theme is purple and hearts. They really wanted to use their picture as part of their Save-the-Date as well. We designed six different save-the-dates for them using the criteria they gave me to choose from and/or make changes to. This is the one they choose. It was the look they were going for!!

Save-the-Dates can either match the "theme" that you are going for with your wedding or they can be completely different. Because Save-the-Dates typically go out so far in advanced they don't need to necessary match your invitations. They can be an introduction to your big day!

General Baby Shower Invitation

I created a general baby shower invitation for those who decide not to find out what gender they are having. Or if they are having the baby shower before the couple finds out. This invitation is cute baby, with a hint of sophistication. I stuck with non-gender colors. That way it could be for a boy or girl. Plus, this type of invitation would work for parents who are not sharing the name they have choose for the baby. Or if they have not chosen one yet. There are many variations that we can do to all of our invitations to customize it just for you.

Baby Girl Shower Invitation

This is a little girl's baby shower invitation I created. I wanted it to be something cute and girly, but with a bit of class. Since the baby boy's invitation isn't just all about being an adorable baby, I felt that this girl's invitation shouldn't either. I wanted it to seem a bit grown up, but I didn't want to forget it was for a baby.

Here again, I don't believe everyone wants the same thing when it comes to invitations. Here at Nikki T Designs we believe that the invitation should be tailored to your likes and dislikes. Contact us today to see what we can design for you!

Baby Boy Shower Invitation

I just love this invitation for a baby boy's baby shower. The parents choose a very strong male name and I thought that commanded a strong font for his name. But I didn't want it to be so manly and grown-up that it didn't have the whole "baby" feel. That's where the cute baby poem came in.

I can help you design the perfect baby shower invitation for you. I feel everyone should have their own unique and special identity with invitations. Not the cookie-cutter ones you can get anywhere. I don't believe an invitation should just be an "insert name here" type of thing. They are setting the tone for you event for the guests.
